Audit

We have always seen the audit of company accounts as an independent function.

Our belief is and has always been that those who prepare accounts should not also audit them because of the perceived conflict of interest involved, not withstanding the legitimate separation of these functions within firms, in our opinion it always gives an impression of lack of independence whatever the facts.

In these post-ENRON days it is most important that any indication of a conflict of interest is avoided so that users can rely on accounts that have been independently audited. For this reason we have an association with a firm of registered auditors who carry out the audit and fulfil all Companies Acts requirements.

When we prepare the accounts, a review of your financial and management systems is conducted by us. We identify potential problem areas and recommend improvements that help your business performance. We will put our recommendations to you for implementation.
